i am a graphic designer who lives in hoboken nj. my photographic style uses traditional film (35mm) and a 25 year old slr camera. i make a point of avoiding manipulation of the medium and am more interested in only using the camera and the film to capture an actual visual moment. what I mean by “actual visual moment” is "that moment that actually occurs but with the element of time added" (which means, with the camera sitting on a tripod for 5 to 15 minutes with the shutter open). i consider my work more of a personal exploration than a controlled science or skill. in fact, one of the things that excites me about this process is that i never know what I have until the film is developed weeks or months after I have taken the shot.
